Public Notice


The Napa County Workforce Investment Board is opening public comment on the “incorporation of Lake County into the Napa County Workforce Investment Area.”


The public comment period will open on Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, at 8 a.m.


The written request to add Lake County can be reviewed at the Workforce Investment Board office, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. beginning on Friday, Oct. 29, 2010.

All comments received in response to the “request to add Lake County” must be in writing and received by 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, 2010.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARING


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the County of Lake will conduct a special meeting and public hearing on the DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT AND DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT (Draft EIR & EA) prepared for the Bottle Rock Power Steam, steamfield expansion project, Use Permit (UP 09-01) and Rezone (RZ 09-07). The project is located within the Binkley Leasehold, at 6743, 6825, 7358, 7385 and 7500 High Valley Road, Cobb, CA. (Assessor’s Parcel Numbers: 011-012-97; 013-002-01, 03, 04 & 05).


The project applicant is Bottle Rock Power, LLC proposing a rezone from “PDR” to “RL” and use permit to allow construction of two new geothermal well pads along with an access road, and 1.3 miles of new pipeline to connect to the existing pipeline serving the power plant. Up to 22 production and injection wells are proposed to be drilled on the two proposed well pads over the life of the project.


The 45-day written comment period on the Draft EIR ends on November 1, 2010, at 5:00P.M., as specified in the previous Notice of Availability. The staff report will be available at the Community Development Department, 3rd Floor of the Courthouse, beginning on October 20, 2010.


The public hearing will be held before the Planning Commission in the Board of Supervisors’ Chamber in the Courthouse, located at 255 North Forbes Street, Lakeport, CA on November 3, 2010 at 9:05 AM, at which time and place interested persons may attend and be heard.


The purpose of this hearing is for the Planning Commission to review the adequacy of the Draft EIR and to consider directing the preparation of a final EIR for the proposed project. If you challenge the action of the Planning Commission on any of the above stated items in court, it may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Lake County Planning Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.
