NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the County of Lake, State of California, will hold a public hearing on application UP 10-01 proposing renewal of a major use permit to allow continued mining of terrace gravel deposits. The project applicant is Clearlake Redi-Mix. For this project, the Planning Commission will reconsider the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) previously certified for the Aggregate Resource Management Element of the General Plan based on Initial Study IS 98-12.


The project is located at 12572 White Rock Canyon Rd., Upper Lake, CA, APN 022-009-06. The Surface Mining and Reclamation Plan and Aggregate Resource Management Plan prepared for this project and the EIR are available for review at the Community Development Department in the Lake County Courthouse, 255 North Forbes Street, Lakeport, CA, and the staff report will be available ten (10) days before the hearing. The public hearing will be held in the Board of Supervisors’ Chamber in the Courthouse on September 23, 2010 at 10:15 AM, at which time and place interested persons may attend and be heard. If you challenge the action of the Planning Commission on any of the above stated items in court, it may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Lake County Planning Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND ADOPTION OF 2010 REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLAN AND DRAFT NEGATIVE DECLARATION


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lake County/City Area Planning Council (APC) will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, at the Lamkin-Sanchez Transit Operations Center, 9240 Highway 53, Lower Lake, CA to conduct a public hearing on the following project and the Draft Negative Declaration.


Project Description: The 2010 Lake County Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) provides a vision of regional transportation goals, policies and objectives for all modes of travel, including local streets, State highways, transit, bicycle, pedestrian and aviation. It assesses current transportation, identifies needs, and suggests actions. The plan also considers financing options for projects discussed within the plan.


Location: All of Lake County, including the cities of Lakeport and Clearlake.


Environmental Determination: The APC has prepared a Draft Negative Declaration for the above project (no significant environmental impacts are anticipated which cannot be adequately mitigated).

 

Review Period: The public review period shall begin on August 2, 2010 and end on August 31, 2010.


The RTP and Draft Negative Declaration may be reviewed at the following libraries throughout Lake County:


• Lake County Library, 1425 N. High St., Lakeport;

• Redbud Library, 14785 Burns Valley Road, Clearlake;

• Middletown Library, Highway 29 and Callayomi, Middletown;

• Upper Lake Library, 310 Second St., Upper Lake.


Both documents are also available for review on the APC Web site at www.lakeapc.org.
