Sinai Monastery: Major use permit for private cemetery

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the County of Lake will hold a public hearing on application UP 08-08 proposing a major use permit for a 35 plot private cemetery. The project applicant is Sinai Monastery Corporation. The Planning Commission will consider adoption of a Mitigated Negative Declaration for this project based on Initial Study IS 08-32. The project is located at 8272 and 8152 Harrington Flat Road, Loch Lomond, CA and further described as APNs 011-037-08 and 011-068-51. The proposed mitigated negative declaration will be available for review at the Community Development Department, (Lake County Courthouse, 255 North Forbes Street, Lakeport, CA) 20 days before the hearing, and the staff report will be available ten (10) days before the hearing. The public hearing will be held in the Board of Supervisors’ Chamber in the Courthouse on February 26, 2009 at 9:25 AM, at which time and place interested persons may attend and be heard. If you challenge the action of the Planning Commission on any of the above stated items in court, it may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Lake County Planning Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF VACANCY AND PROVISIONAL APPOINTMENT


This notice, pursuant to Education Code 5092, is to inform the public that the following individual was interviewed and selected at an Open Session Board meeting on January 28, 2009, by the Middletown Unified School District’s Board of Trustees as a Provisional Appointment to that Board, effective February 11, 2009, until the next regular election of the MUSD Board of Trustees in November 2010:

Mrs. Carrillo will replace former Trustee James Comstock who resigned from the Board, effective January 4, 2009.
