The Napa-Lake Workforce Investment Board is opening public comment on the “Local Workforce Investment Area Local Plan - Modification 11, Program Year 2011 – 2012.”


The public comment period will open on Monday, September 12, 2011, at 1 p.m.


The plan can be reviewed at the Workforce Investment Board office located at 650 Imperial Way, Napa CA 94559, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. beginning on September 12, 2011 and online at www.napaworkforce.org. It may also be viewed below.


All comments received about the plan, must be in writing and received by 5 p.m. on October 12, 2011.

Sierra Equipment: Mitigated negative declaration for grading permit, minor use permit

NOTICE OF PROPOSED NEGATIVE DECLARATION


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Community Development Director will consider adopting a mitigated negative declaration based on Initial Study 11-14 for a proposed Grading Permit (GR11-013) and Minor Use Permit (MUP11-12) to import up to 27,600 cubic yards of fill at 2400 Park Place, Clearlake (APN 010-042-07).


The project applicant is Sierra Equipment.


The proposed mitigated negative declaration and all documents referenced in it are available for review at the Community Development Department, Lake County Courthouse, 255 North Forbes Street, Lakeport, California, will be available twenty (20) days before the hearing.


The review period during which the Community Development Department will receive comments on the proposed mitigated negative declaration will start on September 2, 2011 and end on September 23, 2011.


The Community Development Director will approve this project with no public hearing if no written request for a public hearing is submitted to the Community Development Department by 5:00 P.M., September 22, 2011.


Should a timely request for hearing be filed, a public hearing will be held on September 28, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in Conference Room C, 3rd Floor of the Courthouse, 255 N. Forbes St., Lakeport, CA.

County of Lake: Request for proposals for grant research and grant writing services

The county of Lake is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to research the availability of federal, state and private foundation grants and prepare grant applications on behalf of various county departments.


Copies of the county’s request for proposals may be obtained at the Lake County Administrative Office, located on the first floor of the courthouse at 255 N. Forbes St, Lakeport, CA.


Proposals must be submitted not later than 5 p.m. on Sept. 23, 2011.
