NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the County of Lake, State of California, will hold a public hearing on application UP 11-09 requesting a five year time extension for an existing billboard sign.
The project applicant is La Monica Signs.
The Planning Commission will reconsider the previously adopted mitigated negative declaration for this project based on Initial Study IS 96-08.
The project is located at 255 Soda Bay Road, Lakeport, APN 008-019-64.
The proposed mitigated negative declaration is available for review at the Community Development Department in the Lake County Courthouse, 255 North Forbes Street, Lakeport, CA, and the staff report will be available ten (10) days before the hearing.
The review period during which the Community Development Department will receive comments on the proposed mitigated negative declaration will start on October 3, 2012 and end at the hearing on October 25, 2012.

SUMMARY OF ADOPTED ORDINANCE
In order to reflect current costs for services, the Board of Supervisors adopted Ordinance No. 2979, ORDINANCE AMENDING SPECIFIED PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 4 OF THE LAKE COUNTY CODE RELATING TO ANIMAL CONTROL. This ordinance lowers the Cattery License Fee, changes basic standards for maintenance of a Cattery, raises dog license fees and surrender fees, deletes Section 4-16 referencing proper care of animals and adds a definition of Assistance Dog.
This ordinance was adopted by the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Comstock, Smith, Rushing, Farrington and Brown
NOES: None
ABSENT OR NOT VOTING: None
This ordinance will take effect on October 4, 2012.

NOTICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE GRAVEL EXTRACTION PERMIT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lake County Community Development Director and Public Works Director will consider approving ADMINISTRATIVE GRAVEL EXTRACTION PERMIT GX 12-01 to allow removal of up to 1,000 cubic yards of gravel from Scotts Creek every year for the next five years through October 15, 2017 on property located at 2985 Pear View Dr, Lakeport, APN 003-064-03.
The project applicant is Peter Epidendio.
The proposed conditions of approval are available for review in the Community Development Department, Lake County Courthouse, 255 N Forbes St, Lakeport, CA.

This permit will be approved with no public hearing if no written request for a public hearing is submitted to the Community Development Department by 5:00 p.m., September 17, 2012.
Should a timely request for hearing be filed, a public hearing will be held before the Lake County Planning Commission on September 27, 2012 at 10:45 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors’ Chamber in the Courthouse.
