The Lake County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the DRAFT MIDDLETOWN AREA PLAN UPDATE (GPAP 09-05), the rezoning of lands within the area plan (RZ 09-09) and the DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT (EIR 09-05). Said hearing will be held in the Board of Supervisors’ Chamber in the Courthouse on February 11, 2010, at 9:20 a.m. at which time and place interested persons may attend and be heard thereon. The Plan proposes to amend the general plan and rezone portions of the approximately 150 square miles of unincorporated territory of Lake County including the communities of: Middletown, Hidden Valley Lake, and Anderson Springs along with the outlying rural areas. It includes all or portions of Assessor's Parcel Books 013, 014, 024, 050, 136, 141, 142 and 144.
The draft Area Plan provides comprehensive text and policy updates to guide land use and development decisions in the Middletown planning area through the year 2030. The draft EIR and draft Middletown Area Plan are available for review by the public in the Lake County Community Development Department, 255 North Forbes Street, 3rd Floor of the County Courthouse, Lakeport, California and on-line at www.co.lake.ca.us . Announcement of availability of project information for solar panel projects in Humboldt and Mendocino counties
WHAT IS BEING PLANNED
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to install solar panels on the roofs of three State-owned buildings within District 1 in compliance with the Clean Renewable Energy Bonds Program and Governor Schwarzenegger’s Executive Order S-20-04. The buildings are located at
the following locations: District 1 Maintenance Facility, 90 West Lake Mendocino Drive, Ukiah; District 1 Office Building, 1656 Union Street, Eureka; District 1 Equipment Shop, 1650 Albee Street, Eureka.
WHAT IS AVAILABLE
The environmental document for these projects is called an Initial Study. The document will be available for review until January 28, 2010, at: Caltrans, 2800 Gateway Oaks Drive, Suite 100, Sacramento; Mendocino County Library, 105 North Main Street, Ukiah; and Humboldt County Library, 1313 3rd Street, Eureka.
