NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the County of Lake will hold a public hearing on application RZ 09-02 proposing a rezone from “CR-DR” Commercial Resort—Design Review to “PDC-DR” Planned Development Commercial—Design Review, GPD 09-01 and UP 07-28 proposing a general plan of development and use permit for a specific plan of development for the renovation and expansion of 67 existing commercial resort/retreat units to accommodate up to 190 guests. Other amenities include the development of a special events facility, creation of 30 timeshare/employee housing units, and other resort related amenities. The project applicant is Avalon Springs, LP. The Planning Commission will consider adoption of a Mitigated Negative Declaration for this project based on Initial Study IS 07-82. The project is located at 13333 Big Canyon Road, Middletown, CA and further described as APN 012-006-43. The proposed mitigated negative declaration will be available for review at the Community Development Department, (Lake County Courthouse, 255 North Forbes Street, Lakeport, CA) 20 days before the hearing, and the staff report will be available ten (10) days before the hearing. The public hearing will be held in the Board of Supervisors’ Chamber in the Courthouse on May 14, 2009 at 9:40 AM, at which time and place interested persons may attend and be heard. If you challenge the action of the Planning Commission on any of the above stated items in court, it may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Lake County Planning Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.
