Lakeport Planning Commission hosts May 12 public workshop on housing element

NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORKSHOP

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Lakeport Planning Commission will conduct a public workshop on May 13, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. as part of the regular Planning Commission meeting, in the City Council Chambers located at City Hall, 225 Park Street, Lakeport, to review the draft City of Lakeport Housing Element Update. The Housing Element Update is not proposed for adoption at this time. Following Planning Commission and City Council review and comment, the Housing Element Update will be provided to the public and state Department of Housing and Community Development for a 60-day public review period. The environmental documentation for the Housing Element Update, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act, will also be available for a 30-day review which will occur during the public review period for the Housing Element Update.

 

Copies of the draft Lakeport Housing Element Update will be available on or before May 6, 2009 and can be obtained at the City’s website, www.cityoflakeport.com or at the Lakeport City Hall at the address below. Further information can be obtained by calling Mark Brannigan at 707-263-5613 ext. 25. Written comments regarding the draft Lakeport Housing Element may be submitted to: City of Lakeport, 225 Park Street, Lakeport, California, 95453. In addition, information may be obtained at the above address between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. Lakeport City Hall is an accessible building through the Second Street entrance.

Draft Shoreline Communities Area Plan set for May 28 hearing

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING


The Lake County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the DRAFT SHORELINE COMMUNITIES AREA PLAN (GPAP 09-02), the rezoning of lands within the area plan (RZ 09-05) and the DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT (EIR 09-01) for the Area Plan. Said hearing will be held in the Board of Supervisors’ Chamber in the Courthouse on May 28, 2009, at 9:30 a.m. at which time and place interested persons may attend and be heard thereon. The Plan proposes to amend the general plan and rezone portions of the approximately 280 square miles of unincorporated territory of Lake County stretching along the Highway 20 corridor from Lucerne east to the Colusa County line and includes the communities of Lucerne, Kono Tayee, Paradise Valley, Glenhaven, Clearlake Oaks, Spring Valley, and Clearlake Park. It includes all or portions of Assessor's Parcel Books 002, 004, 006, 010, 016, 027, 033, 034, 035, 036, 037, 060, 062, 351, 620 and 628.


The draft Area Plan provides comprehensive text and policies to guide land use and development decisions in the Shoreline Communities planning area through the year 2029. The draft EIR and draft Shoreline Communities Area Plan are available for review by the public in the Lake County Community Development Department, 255 North Forbes Street, 3rd Floor of the County Courthouse, Lakeport, California and on-line at www.co.lake.ca.us.
