LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Students are encouraged to apply for a four-week residential program for talented and motivated students completing grades eight through 12.

The COSMOS program allows students to reside on one of the four University of California (UC) campuses while they explore advanced topics in science, technology, engineering and math through a hands-on and lab-intensive curriculum.

Each of the four UC campuses can only accommodate approximately 160 participants so selection is competitive.

A typical student has a least a 3.5 grade point average and will need the recommendation of a math and/or science teacher.

Applications are due prior to Feb. 22.
