LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Contagious Communicators Toastmasters meeting is held every Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the administrators' meeting room at Sutter Lakeside Hospital.
The meeting room is located next to the hospital cafeteria on the Sutter Lakeside campus, 5176 Hill Road East, Lakeport.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – This Thursday, Aug. 19, KPFZ 88.1 FM's “Women's Voices” will host a discussion about women's dietary requirements.
The show will take place from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
The guest will be Sharon Stewart, a registered dietitian, responsible for senior nutrition programs in Lake and Mendocino counties.
Stewart will talk about food and specific dietary requirements for women of all ages. Additionally, product labeling will be discussed.
Hosts Lenny Matthews, Rae Eby-Carl and Loretta McCarthy encourage listeners to call in.

HOPLAND, Calif. – Shokawah Casino will host its second annual Show-N-Shine car on Saturday, Aug. 21.
The show will open at 1 p.m. at the casino, 13101 Nokomis Road.
The day will offer vintage cars, burger and hot do specials, free root beer floats, a costume contest, great live entertainment and fun for people of all ages.
Following an overwhelming response by vintage car enthusiasts from all over the West Coast every space in the show has been filled.
There will be a “sock hop” featuring DJ Ken Steely and the popular Bay Area rock & roll band the “Hot Rods.”
Awards and trophies will be presented starting at 6 p.m. but the fun is really just beginning then.
At 7 p.m. the drawings will begin in the casino and at 7:30 p.m. “Michael and Blue Suede” will kick off with their incredibly popular tribute to Elvis Presley. Michael is known as “The Great Pretender” and his show has attracted rave reviews all over the country.
