LAKEPORT – The Republican Party of Lake County (RPLC) will host a town hall meeting with Karen Brooks, candidate for District 1 State Assembly, and Loren Hanks, candidate for District 1 U.S. Representative on Monday, Aug. 30.
The event will take place at the party headquarters, 377 Lakeport Blvd., Lakeport, located in the Bruno’s Shopping Center, starting at 6 p.m.
The purpose of the event is to give the citizens of Lake County a forum to ask the questions they have wanted to ask current representatives about the economy, immigration, government spending and local issues such as algae bloom on Clear Lake, unemployment and budget deficits facing local schools.
The party said current representatives have failed to offer face-to-face town halls with their Lake County constituents in over a year. Much has happened in the last year and the Republican Party encourages local residents to take this opportunity to express concerns, learn the viewpoints of these candidates and discover that there is a choice in November.
For more information, contact the Republican Party of Lake County at 707-263-7811.
