NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the County of Lake, State of California, will hold a public hearing on application VR 13-01 proposing a variance from front and rear yard setback requirements of the Single Family Residential District to allow construction of an addition to an existing residence.  

The project applicant is Pamela McCulloh.  

The project is exempt from the requirements of CEQA pursuant to §15303 (Categorical Exemptions; Class 3) of the Guidelines, which exempts minor additions to existing single family residences.

The public hearing will be held in the Board of Supervisors’ Chamber in the Courthouse on February 27, 2014 at 9:15 a.m., at which time and place interested persons may attend and be heard.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND
SUMMARY OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors, County of Lake, State of California, has set TUESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2013, AT 9:30 A.M., Board Chambers, Courthouse, Lakeport, as time and place to consider a proposed ordinance amending and revising Article VIII of Chapter 9 of the County of Lake Code of Ordinances for regulation wells and preservation of groundwater. A certified copy of the proposed ordinance is available at the Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors.

This proposed ordinance will make the following amendments: delete reference to ag well exemption which expired in 1989; amend the exemption for shallow monitoring wells to allow 10 feet deep instead of 6 feet deep; correct statute citation for definition of Public Water System Well; delete exemption for hand dug well less than or equal to 30 feet deep; add a section to note that a variance can be allowed for an annular seal less than 20 feet deep below the ground surface in certain cases; adds that the current version of Bulletin 74 “Water Well Standards” as revised, is adopted by reference; deletes minimum well casing size or minimum well size; and clarifies that inserting a casing inside an existing well casing is a repair or reconstruction of a well.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that at said time and place any interested person may appear and be heard.

Old Muddy LLC: Grading permit for clearing vegetation, installing vineyards on 288 acres

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lake County Community Development Director will consider approving a Grading Permit (GR13-036) that allows clearing of vegetation and installation of vineyards on 288 acres.

The project includes a 300 foot undisturbed buffer adjacent to the Clear Lake Riviera subdivision.

The project applicant is Old Muddy, LLC.

The Community Development Director will reconsider the previously adopted mitigated negative declaration for this project based on Initial Study IS 01-85.

The project is located at 9920 State Highway 281, Kelseyville, APN 009-006-62, 66, and 79.

The previously considered mitigated negative declaration is available for review at the Community Development Department in the Lake County Courthouse, 255 North Forbes Street, Lakeport, CA.

The review period during which the Community Development Department will receive comments on the previously considered mitigated negative declaration will start on December 20, 2013 and end on January 13, 2014.

The Community Development Director will approve this project with no public hearing if no written request for a public hearing is submitted to the Community Development Department by 5:00 P.M., January 13, 2014.
