CONSIDERATION OF NOTICE OF INTENT TO AMEND ARTICLE 27 OF THE LAKE COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE
BY THE LAKE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the County of Lake, State of California, will consider a Resolution of Intent to amend Article 27 of Chapter 21 of the Lake County Code to regulate the manufacturing, distribution, and testing of cannabis on Thursday March 22, 2018, at 9:05 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the business of the Commission will allow in the Board of Supervisors’ Chambers located at 255 N. Forbes Street, Lakeport, California. If you challenge the action of the Planning Commission on any of the above stated items in court, it may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Lake County Planning Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.

NOTICE OF ELECTION AND DATE FIXED FOR SUBMITTING ARGUMENTS ON
BUTLER-KEYS COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT’S – MEASURE “F”
COUNTY OF LAKE’S – MEASURE “G”


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that District Measure “F” will be consolidated with the Statewide Direct Primary Election to be held on June 5, 2018, and there will be submitted to the qualified voters of the Butler-Keys Community Services District as set forth below:

DISTRICT MEASURE “F” – BUTLER-KEYS COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT’S SPECIAL TAX FOR MAINTAINING STREETS

“Shall a special annual tax of $50.00 per-year-per-single-lot be imposed on all the single lots within the Butler-Keys Community Services District for a period of four (4) years commencing in the 2018-2019 fiscal year for the purpose of maintaining the streets within the Butler-Keys Community Services District and shall the District establish an annual appropriations limit in the amount of $9,250.00 which shall also be effective for the four (4) fiscal years following the approval of this measure by voters?”

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that County Measure “G” will be consolidated with the Statewide Direct Primary Election to be held on June 5, 2018, and there will be submitted to the qualified voters of the unincorporated areas of the County of Lake as set forth below:

COUNTY MEASURE “G” – COUNTY OF LAKE’S RECOVER FROM DISASTER-ROADS, SAFETY, SENIORS, LIBRARIES

“Shall the County Measure be adopted to add Article VII to Chapter 18 of the Lake County Code imposing a one and one-half percent (1.5%) transactions and use tax (sales tax) for a ten-year period, generating approximately $4.5 million annually, for unrestricted general revenue purposes to include roads, libraries, law enforcement, animal control, parks, museums, and services for seniors and veterans with all proceeds placed in the County’s General Fund?”

Arguments for and against county, school or district measures must be typed and submitted to the Lake County Registrar of Voters, Courthouse-Room 209, 255 N Forbes Street, Lakeport, no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2018. No argument shall exceed 300 words in length. No more than five signatures shall appear with any argument. All arguments must be accompanied by the “Statement That Argument Is True And Correct” as required by Section 9600 of the CA Elections Code provided by the Registrar of Voters office, stating the printed name and signature or printed names and signatures of the person or persons submitting it or, if submitted on behalf of an organization, the name of the organization and the printed name and signature of at least one of its principal officers.

ON LOCAL BALLOT MEASURES TO BE VOTED ON AT THE
JUNE 5, 2018 STATEWIDE DIRECT PRIMARY ELECTION


THE LAKE COUNTY REGISTRAR OF VOTERS HEREBY GIVES NOTICE of the deadlines to file arguments for and/or against all county, school or district measures posted on the Lake County Registrar of Voters webpage that will be printed on at the June 5, 2018 Statewide Direct Primary Election ballot as follows:

★★Friday, March 23, 2018★★
Deadline to file rebuttal arguments

▶ No argument shall exceed 300 words in length.
▶ Arguments shall be titled either “Argument In Favor Of Measure ___” or “Argument Against Measure ___”.
▶ No more than five (5) signatures shall appear with any argument.
▶ All arguments must be accompanied by the “Statement That Argument Is True And Correct” as required by Section 9600 of the CA Elections Code.
▶ Arguments must be typed and formatted in block paragraph style.
▶ Limited use of bolding, CAPITALIZING, underlining, italics, center text, and bullets (small solid circle only) are permitted.
▶ Do not use profanity or other objectionable language.
▶ Arguments must be filed with the Lake County Registrar of Voters.

Only one argument in favor of and one argument against a measure shall be selected for printing and distribution with the sample ballots. The Registrar of Voters will notify the author(s) of selected arguments in writing.

▶ Rebuttal Arguments shall be titled either “Rebuttal To Argument In Favor of Measure ___” or “Rebuttal To Argument Against Measure ___”
▶ Rebuttal Arguments can be signed by five (5) or fewer people.

Please be accurate, arguments will be printed exactly as submitted; spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors will not be corrected by the Registrar of Voters office. Interested persons are advised to contact the Registrar of Voters office at 263-2372 prior to the filing deadline of March 16, 2018 for required forms, additional information and guidelines.
