LOWER LAKE, Calif. – On Saturday, March 16, come to Lower Lake High School's main gym to watch the seventh and eighth graders from around the lake take part in Konocti Basketball League's Lake County All-Stars Tournament.
The tournament takes place from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the gym, located at 9430 Lake St.
The finals will be played at 5 p.m.
Entry fees are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free for under age 4.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the tournament. All proceeds will go directly to KBL to support the continuation of their enormous efforts in our community.
Last week for the fifth and sixth grade All Stars Tournament, 16 All Star Teams from around the lake and from as far away as Santa Rosa battled it out for the top seed.
When all was done, the fifth grade boys from Lakeport, fifth grade girls from KBL, sixth grade boys from Santa Rosa and the sixth grade girls from Middletown were winners in their respective categories.
Everyone had fun including those who took part in the halftime shoot-out contests.
Thank you to all the volunteers who have made this possible and to all the players and coaches who took part in the tournament. Without your dedication, KBL would not be the success that it is in the community.
A big thanks to all the fans, which includes all the parents, who have come out to support the youth and KBL.
This is the last weekend of competition for the season, so don't miss out. Bring the family, bring a friend and come on down and watch Lake County's youth play their best.
