HVL Men's Niners Golf Club holds year's first sweeps competition

HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – The HVL Men's Niners Golf Club held its first sweeps competition of 2013 on March 7.

The results were:  

• First flight: Bruce Brashares finished on top with net 34, and Ollie Smith and Bill Kyle tied for second with 36;
• Second flight: Jim Hodges was first at 35, Martin Seita was second at 36 and Don Dornbush was third at 38;
• Third flight: Paul Peterson scored the lowest net of the day, 30, while Sam DeBone took second with 36 and Bob Schossler took third, 37.  

Closest to the par 3 pins were Brian Rudy and Ron Clark.

Chip-ins were posted by Bob Schossler (2), Martin Seita, Brian Rudy and Ron Clark.

Thirty seven men participated in the day’s events.
