Lakeport Police logs: Monday, Aug. 23

9:37 a.m. – Mental illness/detention. Officers Jarvis Leishman and Jim Bell respond to report of 50 year old female, possible overdose on methadone on Royale Avenue. General services rendered; negative suicide attempt, ongoing medical issue; medics transporting.


9:57 a.m. – Contempt of court. Caller from Lake County Courthouse, N. Forbes Street, reports ongoing harassment from ex-husband. There is a domestic violence order in effect that only allows peaceful contact for visitation. Report taken.


10:10 a.m. – Traffic stop. Officer Jarvis Leishman initiated activity at Ninth and N. High streets. Warning.


12:30 p.m. – Shoplifter. Officer Jarvis Leishman initiated activity at Kmart, S. Main Street, reported shoplifter in custody. Report taken.


2:31 p.m. – Traffic stop. Officer Jarvis Leishman initiated activity at Fourth Street, near the 5th Street Boat Ramp. Warning.


4:17 p.m. – Problem with a subject. Sgt. Dale Stoebe and Officer Destry Henderson responded to Wells Fargo Bank, 11th Street, on report of a woman yelling at the staff, knocking over signs. She also told the employees that she stole alcohol and it is currently in a water bottle in her possession. Subject is currently sitting at a teller’s window. Warning.


8:32 p.m. – Traffic stop. Deputies Christopher Fisher and Mauricio Barreto, and Officer Destry Henderson initiated activity at Tower Mart, Lakeport Boulevard. Report taken.


9:08 p.m. – Vehicle code/other offenses. Officer Destry Henderson responded to report of a white van with logo “Sun Acoustics” that is driving on 11th Street toward Safeway, with mattresses on top, not tied; three mattresses have fallen off on 10th, where the driver is creating a roadway hazard. Gone on arrival.


9:44 p.m. – Family disturbance. Officer Destry Henderson responded to woman on 20th Street who received a call from her daughter on Lupoyoma Avenue, who told her she was in a verbal altercation with her live-in boyfriend. Male may be under the influence and may have locked the female out of the house. Warning.


10:27 p.m. – Armed robbery. Male subject reportedly mugged caller at gunpoint about 30 minutes ago at S. Forbes and Armstrong streets and took an iPod. Report taken.


10:33 p.m. – Pedestrian check. Officers Destry Henderson and Richard Santor, Deputy Richard Lamm and Sgt. Dale Stoebe initiated activity at Armstrong and South Tunis. Report taken.
