LAKE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
RECOMMENDATION TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS FOR ADOPTION OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO AMEND SEVERAL SECTIONS OF
CHAPTER 21 OF THE LAKE COUNTY MUNICIPAL CODE TO EXECUTE GENERAL PLAN HOUSING ELEMENT IMPLEMENTATION TASKS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the County of Lake Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 13, 2025, no earlier than 9:05 a.m., in the Lake County Board of Supervisors Chambers, located on the first floor of the Lake County Courthouse, 255 N. Forbes Street, Lakeport, CA for consideration of a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors for adoption of an ordinance to amend several sections of Chapter 21 of the Lake County Municipal Code to execute the County’s General Plan Housing Element implementation tasks and for alignment with state housing regulations. The proposed ordinance would amend sections of Chapter 21 related, but not limited to, the following: development standards; housing and mixed-use development within commercially-zoned areas; low-income housing; emergency shelters and low barrier navigation centers; supportive housing; agricultural employee housing; and permit streamlining.
The hearing will take place both in-person and via Zoom. ARTICLE 27 OF THE LAKE COUNTY MUNICIPAL CODE FOR COMMERCIAL CANNABIS USES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the County of Lake Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 13, 2025, no earlier than 9:20 a.m., in the Lake County Board of Supervisors Chambers, located on the first floor of the Lake County Courthouse, 255 N. Forbes Street, Lakeport, CA for consideration of a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors for adoption of an ordinance to amend Chapter 21, Article 27 of the Lake County Municipal Code. The proposed ordinance would amend various sections of Article 27(at) for commercial cannabis regulations, including but not limited to the following topics: setbacks; commercial canopy size limitations and calculations; application processing procedures and requirements; background clearances; record retention; commercial cannabis cultivation exclusion areas and development standards; and operational hours.
