LAKEPORT – The Lake County Fair is searching for one nonprofit or service club that wants the opportunity to earn $3,000 during the annual event.
The Lake County Fair is interested in partnering with one or more Lake County nonprofit organizations to provide 350 hours of staffing for the trailer/parking lot at the annual event, Sept. 2 to 5, in exchange for a total fee of $3,000 paid to the organization or organizations.
This activity will provide the nonprofit organization with a fundraising activity in a highly visible community gathering. There is substantial opportunity for organization members to provide volunteer hours that will generate goodwill towards the organization.
The primary activities of the nonprofit organization will be to operate one drive-through entrance/exit gate, provide directions to parking spaces, and provide camp host services to 4-H/FFA families staying in RVs in the lot.
The club may provide an RV to use for the camp hosting duties and as a base of operations. The overnight camp host is not expected to be awake all night, and can use the RV to sleep once the rest of the lot has been put to bed.
Organizations are encouraged to consider partnerships with other service organizations in order to arrive at the needed staffing levels and hours.
Please call the fair office for more information at 707-263-6181.
