The car wash will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Shell gas station in Nice, 3444 E. State Highway 20.

The class also is planning a spaghetti dinner and silent auction from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Kelseyville Lyons Club.

Pre-sale tickets are on sale now, so they can get a rough head count.

Drinks are priced separate, with those proceeds going to the Lions Club.

Please contact Danielle Wilfong, 707-349-7099, for ticket purchase or more information.

KELSEYVILLE – The Lake Family Resource Center (Lake FRC) was pleased to recently receive the donation of these beautifully handcrafted quilts created and donated by the Ladies of The Lake Quilt Guild to personalize the Freedom House Domestic Violence Shelter's rooms.

The colorful quilts will be added to the furnishings of the eight rooms available for domestic violence victims.

Each room is already personalized and the quilts will add an additional touch of home for domestic violence victims.

The guild members who brought the quilts were able to tour Freedom House and seemed delighted to know where their artwork would be utilized.

Freedom House Domestic Violence Shelter frequently benefits from community donations. If any group is interested in donating, please contact Executive Director Gloria Flaherty or Volunteer Services Coordinator Janice Hodges at 707-279-0563.
