Realtors plan fundraising yard sale April 30 and May 1

UPPER LAKE, Calif. – The Lake County Association of Realtors Scholarship Committee will hold a huge parking lot sale on Saturday, April 30, and Sunday May 1.


The sale will take place at 375 E. Highway 20 in Upper Lake.


The group is raising money for high school scholarships.


Donations are being accepted for this event.

Genealogical library offers services

LUCERNE, Calif. – For those wanting to know more about their ancestry, resources are available locally to help.


The Lake County Genealogical Society maintains the Lenore Clark Genealogy Library, which is located inside the Lake County Visitor Information Center building, 6110 E. Highway 20, Lucerne.


The library has a large collection of historical and genealogical information on Lake County.


This collection also includes books from other states, maps and charts to do your family research.


Volunteers from the Lake County Genealogical Society are available to assist researchers Thursdays, Fridays and the second Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and other times, by appointment.

Clear Lake Trowel & Trellis Garden Club plans May 7 plant sale

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Clear Lake Trowel & Trellis Garden Club will hold a plant sale on Saturday, May 7.


The sale will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot at 650 N. Main, Lakeport (near Natural High School).


A nice selection of plants and succulent gardens will be available. Garden-related items such as flower pots, baskets, books, cards, and birdhouses also will be sold.


Proceeds from the sale are used on civic beautification projects and scholarship awards.


Chairman Jo Douville and club members will be happy to help you and hope to see you there.


The Clear Lake Trowel & Trellis Garden Club meets at noon on the third Tuesday of the month, except July and August, at the Scotts Valley Women's Club House, 2298 Hendricks Road, Lakeport.


Members, guests and all interested are most welcome. President Linda Waterstraat, 707-245-4731, invites interested gardeners to join the group.


The Clear Lake Trowel & Trellis Garden Club is a member of Mendo-Lake District, California Garden Club Inc., Pacific Region and National Garden Clubs Inc.
