Caltrans plans major roadwork through Thursday, May 20

NORTH COAST – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around Lake County during the coming week.


Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.


LAKE COUNTY


Highway 20


– Caltrans will perform routine maintenance from Ogden Road to Lake Street beginning Tuesday, May 18. Work hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.


Highway 29


– Caltrans will perform routine maintenance from Nice-Lucerne Cutoff Road to the junction of Route 20/29 beginning Monday, May 17. Work hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. LC#M29CA


MENDOCINO COUNTY


Highway 1


– Bob Whitney of Willits has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit to install a driveway near Happy Lane. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.


– A culvert replacement project 0.8 mile south of Little Valley Road will begin Monday, May 17. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. Contractor – Kapel Construction of Willow Creek.


– Pavement repairs at Blue Slide Gulch, just south of Westport, will continue. Work hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute

delays. Contractor – Mercer-Fraser of Eureka.


– A culvert rehabilitation project 0.7 mile north of the Hardy Creek Bridge will begin Monday, May 17. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays. Contractor – Paulson Construction of Albion.


Highway 20


– A culvert replacement project from Gravel Pit Road to Parlin Fork Camp Road will continue. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays. Contractor – Kapel Construction of Willow Creek.


– A drainage repair project 0.6 mile west of Forestry Station Road will begin Monday, May 17. One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Motorists should anticipate

10-minute delays. Contractor – Kapel Construction of Willow Creek.


– Caltrans will perform routine maintenance from the Broaddus Creek Bridge to Blosser Road beginning Wednesday, May 19. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.


Highway 101


– A drainage repair project from the Rosetti Creek Bridge to 0.2 mile north of the El Roble Overcrossing will continue. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays. Contractor – Quimu Contracting, Incorporated of Dixon.


– Pavement sampling 1.7 miles south of Ridgewood Ranch Road will begin Monday, May 17. Work hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays. Southbound traffic will be restricted to one lane. Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns. Contractor – Mactech Engineering and

Consulting, Incorporated of San Diego.


– Caltrans will perform routine maintenance from Monica Lane to Muir Mill on Tuesday, May 18. Work hours are 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.


– Caltrans will perform routine maintenance from Reynolds Highway to Ryan Creek Road on Monday, May 17. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction of travel. Motorists may experience minor traffic slowdowns.


– PG&E of Eureka has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility maintenance and tree trimming from 0.5 mile south of the Jitney Gulch Bridge to 0.4 mile south of Confusion Hill. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.


Highway 128


– Pavement sampling 0.2 mile west of the Anderson Creek Bridge will begin Monday, May 17. Work hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. Contractor – Mactech Engineering and Consulting,

Incorporated of San Diego.


– PG&E of Eureka has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility maintenance 0.3 mile east of Mountain House Road on Wednesday, May 19. Work hours are 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.


Highway 222


– Replacement of the Russian River Bridge will continue. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays. One-way traffic control with a temporary signal will be in effect 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays during work hours and five-minute delays at other times. Contractor – CC Myers of Rancho Cordova.
