JJ Kane announced the addition of construction equipment and vehicles located in the Sacramento area to be sold online at public auction on July 20.

More than 350 items will be sold online with over 25 items located in Dixon/Sacramento areas and include used bucket trucks for sale, forestry/tree care equipment, one ton trucks, other service trucks, air compressor trucks, pickups and more.

The online auction will be at http://www.jjkane.com/california-used-bucket-trucks-car-vehicle?utm_campaign=PRW295R .

These items are being sold by PG&E and Davey Tree Experts and are available for preview on July 19th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 8621 Robben Road, Dixon.

Buyers must register to bid online and live bidding starts at 8:30 a.m. Saturday July 20. In addition to the California vehicles, other items for this auction are located in South Beloit, Ill., and Columbus Ohio.

Items are added to the auction daily so individuals and companies in need of vehicles and used bucket trucks for sale are encouraged to sign up for the email updates to stay informed of newly added equipment.

J.J. Kane is well-known for used bucket trucks and utility equipment auctions. Their auctions also feature many used light-duty trucks, cars, SUV's and more. One of the benefits of this auction is that you do not have to be present to participate. Bidding can be done online, saving the cost of travel, and the company will help bidders and sellers through every step of the process.

JJ Kane auctions are absolute, meaning that everything sells to the highest bidder, regardless of price. There are no minimums or reserves at an absolute auction, and owners are not allowed to bid on equipment they have consigned to the auction. Selling price is determined by the bidders participating in the auction, and no one else.

The auction offers direct access to the equipment contractors need, and differs from other auctions in that you don’t have to be a dealer to buy. Anyone can register and connect directly with buyers and sellers through this auction company, helping both parties to exchange equipment at a fair price.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Lake County Winery Association seeks volunteers and sponsors for the 2013 Lake County Wine Awards Competition held at Brassfield Estate Winery and The People’s Choice Award held this year on Aug. 31 at the Lake County Fair.

Volunteers assist with the organization and execution of the professional wine judging, alongside the esteemed panel of judges, Director Ray Johnson and the Lake County Winery Association chairpersons July 8-12 at Brassfield Estate Winery in Clearlake Oaks.

Volunteers are critical contributors, supporting the Lake County Winery Association’s goals of developing awareness and recognition of Lake County as a preeminent winegrowing and tourism destination – as they strive to make this the most successful and publicized awards competition to date.

Sponsors help fund critical aspects of the professional judging, wine awards dinner, and the people’s choice award events, marketing and public outreach.

Sponsors are given the opportunity to showcase their products and services to wine professionals, business people, wine enthusiasts and the community while supporting an important local nonprofit organization.

Sponsors ensure the success of these events for the visitors, residents, vineyards, wineries, and Lake County as a community.

In addition to our distinct appreciation, sponsors receive recognition at each event, in press releases, PSAs, and promotional materials distributed throughout Wine County and neighbors in Sacramento and the Bay Area.

Please contact Megan Hoberg at 707-279-4302 or Jacquelyn Farrington at 707-994-4068 to volunteer or sponsor this foremost wine event.

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – When Derek Holstein, winemaker since 2005 for Cache Creek Vineyards, was notified that his 2011 Reserve Chardonnay and 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon had again won gold medals, he was still enjoying the news of the gold medal he won just last week from the Press Democrat North Coast Wine Challenge, also for the 2011 Reserve Chardonnay.

“It is such a privilege to be in a position to support the beautiful vineyards of Cache Creek Vineyards and the Van Pelt family in their desire to produce world class wines from a fairly new growing area with tremendous potential,” said Holstein.

The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon received a Double Gold earlier this year from the American Fine Wines Competition which was held in Florida.

Cache Creek Vineyards is a small, family-owned, sustainably farmed vineyard in Lake County. Production is small with a total of 1,400 cases of four varietals being produced this year.

“Our limited production allows Derek to give more hands-on attention to each varietal. That attention starts in the vineyard and continues through the wine making process. We are committed to growing exceptional grapes and proud to present wines exhibiting creativity and longevity,” said Linda Glover, spokesperson for Cache Creek Vineyards.

Wines can be purchased online at www.cachecreekvineyards.com , call 707-272-8466 for phone orders or visit Lake County Wine Studio, 9505 Main St., Upper Lake.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Saturday, June 22, will be the 10th annual “Country Trails Open Houses,” when homes for sale throughout the county will be held open.

Beginning at 11 a.m. and continuing on until 5 p.m., up to 30 homes will be held open for up to two hours each.

The event is free.

A drawing for an MP3 will be held and visitors can enter at each home they are visit.

“Country Trails has evolved to be Lake County's largest real estate marketing event of the year,” said Phil Smoley, broker of CPS County Air Properties. “We came up with the idea back in 2003, and since then we have held open more than 1,000 houses during the event.”

Few agents do open houses in Lake County any more, but when done correctly, they can still be beneficial to both buyers and sellers, according to Smoley.

“All companies are able to hold their listings open on this day, but Country Trails has evolved into pretty much an exclusive of CPS Country Air,” said Smoley. “It is a great opportunity to see a variety of homes in one afternoon.”

A final open house list will not be posted until 6 p.m. Friday, June 21.

For more information, attendees should go to www.CountryAir.com .
