LAKEPORT, Calif. – While many Christian Traditions have been ordaining women to ministry for centuries, others prohibit women from certain ministry tasks such as preaching or being a deacon.

Why is this and what does the Bible say?

At United Christian Parish on Sunday, Feb. 7, they will  explore what the Bible says about women in ministry, some of the women who served alongside Jesus and Paul and what it means for the church today.

All are welcome – male and female.

There will be a hymn sing at 9:45 a.m. and the worship service begins at 10 a.m.
