LAKEPORT, Calif. – The community is cordially invited to join United Christian Parish for its Christmas Eve service at at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24.
Though we have many special holiday events in our community that bring joy (and relief from the news and trials of life) they may still leave you wishing there was something more to this special season.
There is. At United Christian Parish they aren’t the only ones who have found the joy of Christmas, but we do enjoy sharing it, and they want to share it with you. Come find that missing piece of Christmas Monday night.
The story they share won’t be a new one but they will find new life in it. It will tell how years ago in a far away land, a baby was born. Through story, song and candlelight, they will seek to visit that baby and invite Him to visit us.
All ages are welcome though there won’t be any child care, because they want to be surrounded by the children. There will be a special story time for the children (and the young at heart).
The celebration will conclude in candlelight. Hands, both young and old, can feel secure in holding their light because the candles we use have shields that make them safe to hold. All are welcome to share the light.
Of course, there will be wonderful music throughout the celebration, some oldie but goodie favorites and one new Christmas carol written just for this evening.
United Christian Parish is located at 745 N. Brush St. in Lakeport.
