MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – Middletown United Methodist Church needs a commercial refrigerator and freezer to better serve the community.
“Over a 120 meals are served each week at the Methodist Church Social Hall since we expanded our meal program last March,” said Methodist Church Council Chair Tom Darms.
“Currently our two household refrigerators and freezers can not hold enough food for this many meals,” said Darms. “We hope to raise $3,200 within the next two weeks to buy commercial grade equipment. This will make purchasing and planning easier for our volunteers led by Melanie Smith.”
All money given qualifies as a charitable donation and can be mailed to Middletown Methodist Drawer A Middletown CA 95461.
The Community Meals are served at 15851 Armstrong St., Wednesday and Friday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Breakfast is served Sundays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
