MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – Bob Brennan will be the organist on Saturday, April 21, for the 11 a.m. George “Scooter” Tilton memorial service as well as the April 22 Sunday service at the Middletown Community United Methodist Church.
For many years Brennan has played the keyboard for Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
“I am happy help the Methodist,” Brennan said recently when he found out they no longer have an organist.
He also will accompany the Middletown Methodist congregation the following morning, on Sunday, April 22, during the 11 a.m. New Life Service celebrating the Festival of God's Creation (Earth Sunday), Native American ministries and the Third Sunday of Easter.
“The late Della Brennan, mother of Bob, was a long-time member of the Middletown United Methodist Church and I am sure she is pleased that her son is providing organ music once a month at the church she so dearly loved,” said Methodist music director Claudia Listman.
A free community dinner is served from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. after every Sunday service in the Social Hall.
The church is located at the corner of Armstrong and Washington streets.
