Sonoma County author portrays images of Christ in new book

GEYSERVILLE, Calif. – When tragedy strikes, many ask themselves the age-old questions: Why do bad things happen? Why doesn't God intervene?

Local author Amy Wickham’s new book, “Icons for Words,” came from a tragedy in her life that God did not prevent. She opens wide God's answer to her own heartbreak: “An enemy hath done this.”

The book reminds readers of the Jesus who walked on the water and calmed the storm, urging his disciples not to be afraid.

Wickham relays God’s written Love, pictures of Himself in His Word, given to individuals that they might live.

She hopes “Icons for Words” will expose Christ for who He is, encouraging readers to allow Him into their boat that He may quiet the storms that rage within them.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting www.barnesandnoble.com or www.amazon.com.

Wickham lives in Geyserville, Calif., with her best friend and husband, Jeff. They have two sons, Benjamin and Bryan. She has written and composed numerous songs, some of which are copyrighted. She has an associate degree in physical therapy, though her full-time job right now is leading her boys to Jesus.
