LAKEPORT – The Sierra Cub is leading a hike from Scotts Valley to Goat Rock this Saturday, May 5.
The group will follow the Glen Eden Trail for four miles to a nice lunch spot at Goat Rock in the upper Scotts Creek watershed.
The first half mile of the trail is steep and strenuous (and not for beginners) but after that it is a moderate climb over the ridge and down to Goat Rock.
Meet at 9 a.m. at the Glen Eden trail head, 8 miles out Scotts Valley Road from the 11th Street/Scotts Valley Road exit off Highway 29 in Lakeport. Bring lunch and water.
Call the leader, Linda Marie at 263-8902, in advance to reserve a spot. Limit is 12. Rain cancels.
