Lakeport Police logs: Wednesday, Feb. 9

10:25 a.m. – Officer Norm Taylor and Sgt. Dale Stoebe initiated activity at Sixth Street. Arrest made.


12:31 p.m. – Problem with a subject. Officer Norm Taylor responded to the Mendo Lake Credit Union. The caller took a $100 bill to the bank to deposit. The bank found it to be counterfeit and won’t give it back to the caller. General services rendered.


2:07 p.m. – Lakeport animal call. Officer Norm Taylor responded to report of a dog left in a car with the windows cracked since 9 a.m. at Westside Park Drive. Lakeport PD animal call.


2:27 p.m. – Traffic stop. Officer Norm Taylor initiated activity at south Highway 29 and Lakeport Boulevard. Warning given.


2:52 p.m. – Be on the lookout. CHP reports two male occupants driving recklessly on 11th Street, toward Safeway. General services rendered.


3:29 p.m. – Burglary. Sgt. Dale Stoebe responded to report of a house burglary on Beach Court within the last couple of hours. Report taken.


3:49 p.m. – Be on the lookout. A caller at Catfish Books, 11th Street, suspects that the subject is high on marijuana. The subject drove away in an unknown direction. General services rendered.


5:11 p.m. – Traffic collision. Sgt. Dale Stoebe responded to call from the Lake County Chamber of Commerce, Lakeport Boulevard. Two vehicles collided at the entrance to Vista Point and Lakeport Boulevard; no injuries. Report taken.


6:06 p.m. – Disturbance. Sgt. Dale Stoebe responded to report of a male hitting a female on Lupoyoma Avenue and S. Main Street. General services rendered.


6:36 p.m. – 911 hang up. Quick Dial Tone reported beeping and no response. General services rendered.


7:06 p.m. – Sgt. Dale Stoebe responded to Hartley Street. The subject is tearing the fence down between the caller and his brother’s property. The owner of the property is the mother-in-law of the caller and she requested law enforcement involvement. General services rendered.


8:22 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances. Officer Jim Bell and Sgt. Jason Ferguson responded to Clearlake Club, N. Main Street. The subject is talking to himself and not making sense. Arrest made.


9 p.m. – Pedestrian check. Officer Jim Bell initiated activity at Terrace Middle School, Lange Street. General services rendered.


9:19 p.m. – Welfare check. Officer Jim Bell and Sgt. Jason Ferguson responded to Fifth Street residence. The caller’s son called, crying, saying his dad was yelling and cursing at him. The caller could hear the father yelling in the background. The juvenile also sent the caller a text, reading “send them.” General services rendered.
