Lakeport Police logs: Tuesday, Feb. 1

1:06 p.m. – Civil assist. Officer Norm Taylor initiated activity at Sixth Street. General services rendered.


2:08 p.m. – Shoplifter. Officer Norm Taylor responded to Grocery Outlet, S. Main Street, regarding a 19-year-old in custody. Arrest made.


2:54 p.m. – Battery. Officer Norm Taylor responded to Bevins Court Apartments, Bevins Court, regarding an assault that took place last night. Report taken.


3:40 p.m. – Suspicious circumstance. Sgt. Jason Ferguson responded to Clear Lake High School. A caller on Anastasia reported her 11-year-old son advised her that when he was walking through the high school on his way home, an adult male was following him. Report taken; checking the area.


3:56 p.m. – Followup. Officer Norm Taylor responded to call on Bevins Court that the subject has just returned to the residence. General services rendered.


3:58 p.m. – Juvenile problem. Sgt. Jason Ferguson responded to day care center on S. Tunis Street. The owner reported that a 7-year-old brought a pocket knife to the daycare center. Though the child is not using the knife in a threatening manner, the owner would like an officer to talk to the child. General services rendered.


7:25 p.m. – Pedestrian check. Deputies Christopher Fisher and Glenn Capurro initiated activity at Lakeshore Boulevard and Rainbow Road. Report taken.


8:41 p.m. – Disturbance. Officer Jarvis Leishman and Sgt. Jason Ferguson responded to Sixth Street report that a subject is outside his truck, making lots of noise with the airbag lifts. Parking citation issued.
