Lakeport Police logs: Monday, Jan. 31

4:52 a.m. – Physical altercation. Deputy Corey Paulich and Officer Jarvis Leishman responded to S. Main Street resident’s request for an area check. The caller has been hearing noises outside for the last couple hours and just heard a “thump.” General services rendered.


8:17 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances. Det. Destry Henderson responded to a female reportedly talking to the trees at the end of Giselman Street. Gone on arrival.


10:10 a.m. – Shoplifter. Officer Norm Taylor responded to Grocery Outlet, S. Main Street. The shoplifter is outside the office, not cooperative but not physical. Released on cite.


3:16 p.m. – 911 hang up. The caller received two 911 hang ups from a number. Nothing was heard on call back and the answering machine states the line is a non-working number. Terrace Middle School advised they would check and call back. The school called back and advised they checked the grounds and there is no emergency. General services rendered.


4:43 p.m. – Welfare check. The California Highway Patrol reports a vehicle parked in the roadway at Lakeport Lagoons, S. Main Street. The male associated with the vehicle may be under the influence of marijuana. General services rendered.


4:43 p.m. – Welfare check. Sgt. Kevin Odom and Deputy Mauricio Barreto responded to Hospice Thrift Store, S. Main Street. A male subject was reported to be parked in a small, red car and slumped over the wheel. Gone on arrival.


5:42 p.m. – Juvenile problem. Sgt. Kevin Odom responded to report of six to eight teenage skateboarders on Park Street that are not moving for vehicles. Warning given.


5:50 p.m. – Sgt. Kevin Odom responded to CVS Pharmacy, 11th Street. A male subject was reportedly standing in front of the store, smoking marijuana and another subject, parked next to him was snorting something up his nose. Report taken.


9:03 p.m. – Extra patrol. An extra patrol was requested on Campbell Lane, due to a female walking through the storage units earlier today. General services rendered.
