Lakeport Police logs: Friday, Dec. 31

1:44 p.m. – Traffic stop. Sgt. Dale Stoebe initiated activity at Pool Street and Central Park Avenue. Warning given.

 

2:08 p.m. – Outside agency assist. Sgt. Dale Stoebe responded to report of a large amount of water pouring out of the back of an apartment on Second and N. Estep streets. Outside agency assist.

 

2:34 p.m. – Outside agency assist. Sgt. Dale Stoebe responded to Lakeport Library, N. High Street. The subject is not allowed to be around schools or parks or libraries if kids are present. Report taken.

 

4:33 p.m. – Fraud. The caller is calling for an elderly friend who paid a contractor ahead of time for roof work and now his phone has been disconnected. General services rendered.

 

4:52 p.m. – Suspicious person. Sgts. Kevin Odom and Dale Stoebe, and Officer Jim Bell responded to call from Umpqua Bank, 11th Street. A male subject came into the bank and wanted to do numerous transactions on a credit card. They believed it to be a scam so they refused service and the subject left quickly, possibly en route to another bank. Civil assist.

 

6:47 p.m. – Family disturbance. Sgts. Dale Stoebe and Kevin Odom, and Officer Jim Bell responded to Armstrong Street. The caller's father is high and tried to stab her mother with a knife. The responsible subject is no longer has a knife. Report taken.

 

8:42 p.m. – Vehicle code/other offenses. Officers Jarvis Leishman and Jim Bell responded to 11th and Pool streets. A white four-door sedan with push bar on the front is blocking the intersection. General services rendered.
