Lakeport Police logs: Wednesday, Dec. 1

10:59 a.m. – Shoplifter. Deputy Joseph Dutra and Sgt. Dale Stoebe responded to Grocery Outlet, S. Main Street. An employee reported two subjects in the store, attempting to hide items in their clothing. Report taken.


12:14 p.m. – Theft up to $400. Sgt. Dale Stoebe responded to report of theft of potted plants from Campos Casuals, N. Main Street. Report taken.


4:27 p.m. – Health and safety other violations. Sgt. Dale Stoebe responded to UPS, Craig Avenue, regarding marijuana found in package. Report taken.


6:04 p.m. – Suspicious vehicle. Sgt. Dale Stoebe responded to report of a small red car which keeps driving back and forth on 17th Street, parking in front of a residence, honking, leaving and repeating the action. General services rendered.


6:47 p.m. – Problem with a subject. Sgts. Dale Stoebe and Jason Ferguson responded to S. Polk Street. The caller's girlfriend was “flipping out,” being belligerent and took off out the back door. Per the caller, she was almost taken last week with mental problems and is currently under the influence of pain medication. Arrest made.


8:08 p.m. – Noise disturbance. Officer Jarvis Leishman responded to report of ongoing dog barking problem on Martin Street. The resident was not home, so a note was left on the door. Animal control call.


8:51 p.m. – Contempt of court. Sgt. Jason Ferguson responded to Martin Street residence. A 20-year-old subject just drove by and threatened the caller, in violation of a restraining order. Report taken.


8:59 p.m. – Followup. Officer Jarvis Leishman initiated activity on S. Polk Street. General services rendered.


9:19 p.m. – Traffic stop. Sgt. Jason Ferguson and Officer Jarvis Leishman initiated activity at Martin and S. Polk streets. Arrest made.


10:19 p.m. – Public disturbance. Officer Jarvis Leishman and Sgt. Jason Ferguson responded to Safeway, 11th Street. The caller was jumped by people who took his money. Arrest made.


10:54 p.m. – Followup. Sgt. Jason Ferguson initiated activity on Martin Street. Report taken on a previous case.


11:11 p.m. – Followup. Officer Jarvis Leishman initiated activity at Martin Street, checking on the barking dog issue. The caller had called back and made a statement about possibly shooting the dog. Checks OK, the location was quiet on contact; a notice of violation was left on the door.


11:18 p.m. – Traffic stop. Officer Jarvis Leishman and Deputy Steve Brooks initiated activity at Lakeport Boulevard and Bevins Street. Warning given.
