Lakeport Police logs: Tuesday, June 8

12:51 a.m. – Traffic stop. Officer Dale Stoebe initiated activity at Piedmont Lumber Co., S. Main Street; vehicle description 1985 Volvo. Warning.


1:08 p.m. – Kmart reports person in custody for shoplifting. Officer Jarvis Leishman makes arrest.


3:52 p.m. – Lakeport Skilled Nursing, 16th Street, reports a patient had checks stolen and an employee tried to cash. Report taken.


4:38 p.m. – Officer Dale Stoebe initiated activity at Mendo Lake Credit Union, 11th Street. Report taken.


4:56 p.m. – A blue Dodge Neon occupied by a male and a female have been looking at child care facility on Palm Drive; have been parked there for over 15 minutes. General services rendered.


5:36 p.m. – Officer Brad Rasmussen and Dale Stoebe respond to report by Mental Health employee who advised that a man came up to her car and advised he needed help. Employee gave him a card with a 1-800 number on it. General services rendered.


7:19 p.m. – Officer Dale Stoebe initiated activity at Lakeport Skilled Nursing, 16th Street. General services rendered.


8:19 p.m. – Attempt to contact. Officer Jim Bell responded to caller in San Leandro who requested contact with friends in Fairground Village Mobile Park, Martin Street. Hasn’t spoken with her in approximately six months and has been trying to call for a few weeks and gets no answer or answering machine; per caller friend has a roommate and both subjects are possibly a bit bipolar. General services rendered.
