April 9 hearing on proposed ordinance to establish pass-through fee for PEG TV station

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND
SUMMARY OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors, County of Lake, State of California, has set TUESDAY, APRIL 9, 2013, 9:15 A.M., as time and place to consider a proposed Ordinance adding Article Seven to Chapter Seven of the Lake County Code to provide support for Public, Educational and Governmental (PEG) Cable television access facilities.

If adopted as proposed, this ordinance will provide for a one-percent (1%) fee on the cable operator’s gross revenues, to be collected within the unincorporated areas of the County. This ordinance will only take effect if similar ordinances are adopted in both the Cities of Clearlake and Lakeport. At the discretion of the Board of Supervisors, during the public hearing, any part of the proposed Ordinance may be amended and/or omitted from the final approved version. A certified copy of the proposed ordinance is available in the Office of the Clerk of the Board, 255 North Forbes Street, Lakeport, CA 95453.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that at said time and place any interested person may appear and be heard.

If you challenge the action of the Board of Supervisors on any of the above stated items in court, it may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at, or prior to, the public hearing.
