April 3 public hearing on proposed ordinance relating to fireworks displays in unincorporated county

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors, County of Lake, State of California, has set TUESDAY, APRIL 3, 2012, at 10:30 a.m., in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, Courthouse, 255 North Forbes Street, Lakeport, as the time and place for conducting a PUBLIC HEARING regarding a proposed Ordinance amending Article 1 Section 5-f.2 of Chapter 5 of the Lake County Code relating to the sale, use and display of fireworks in the unincorporated area of the County of Lake. Copies of the proposed Ordinance are available at the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, 255 North Forbes Street, Room 109, Lakeport, CA 95453.

This ordinance will add the requirement of notification of residents within a five mile radius of a planned fireworks display ten days prior to the event, through placement of posters at three public places.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that at said time and place any interested person may appear and be heard.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that if you challenge the action of the Board of Supervisors on any of the above stated items in court, it may be limited to only those issues raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Lake County Board of Supervisors at, or prior to, the public hearing.
