UKIAH, Calif. – Ukiah Valley Rural Health Center is pleased to announce that Cary Wheeler, D.O., is now seeing patients at Family Practice.
Dr. Wheeler brings with her a passion for helping people of all ages – adults and children.
Though not a Mendocino County native, Dr. Wheeler feels deep roots to the community.
“My husband, Joe, was born and raised in Ukiah,” she said. “After we were married we lived in Ukiah for about a year before I attended medical school. We both loved the area and the people so much that we decided to come back and raise our family here.”
The Wheeler family is comprised of Ivy, 10; Lilly, 4; and Lavender, who is a year and a half old.
As for her scope of practice, Dr. Wheeler said, “As a doctor of osteopathy, receiving the extra training has really helped me understand more about the body and how its processes work. I’m also able to perform osteopathic manipulation, which helps people suffering from lower back and joint pain. It’s great when I can help someone that comes to the office hobbling in and they can walk out the door!”
Dr. Wheeler is now accepting new patients at the UVRHC Family Practice office, located at 260 Hospital Drive, Suite 209, in Ukiah.
