American Lung Association Better Breathers Club meetings resume in Clearlake

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – The American Lung Association in California and St Helena Hospital Clearlake are pleased to announce the return of the Better Breathers Club in Clearlake.

Basics strategies for improved health while living with lung disease will be the topic of the Wednesday, June 20, Better Breathers Club meeting from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the St. Helena Hospital Clearlake, 15250 Lakeshore Drive. Entrance is at lowest level parking area at the hospital in Building F.

Facilitator Nancy Perrin, RCP will provide tools for improving activities of daily living along with a video presentation.

Sponsored by the American Lung Association and St. Helena Hospital Clearlake, Better Breathers Club meetings are free and open to anyone interested in learning more about chronic lung disease or breathing disorders. Caregivers are also welcome.

More than 24 million Americans are estimated to have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), an umbrella term for chronic bronchitis and emphysema, two conditions in which the airways are obstructed. COPD is the third-ranking cause of death in the United States.
