Fall classes start Aug. 17. Students are encouraged to register early.
The local hospitality industry is struggling to find qualified employees and industry leaders desire to improve customer experiences while visiting the Napa Valley, said instructor Ian MacNeil.
The three courses offered are: Introduction to Hospitality Management (HOSP 120) held on Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 8:50 p.m.; Principles of Hotel Administration (HOSP 122) held on Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8:50 p.m.; and Food, Beverage and Restaurant Management held Mondays from 6 p.m. to 8:50 p.m.
Each of these courses will improve the student’s awareness of customer service and provide a firm foundation for career growth in hospitality management.
Instructor Ian MacNeil, who has nearly 20 years of wine-hospitality business experience, is program coordinator.
In addition to those thinking about going into the hospitality field, the classes are very useful for individuals already working in the industry who are interested in career development, MacNeil said.
The classes are offered in the evening for the convenience of those who are currently employed.
