One of our students, Chris Clark, said, “The hot dog sale went great! Foods donated most of the hot dogs and buns, and we made plenty of money for our prom. Plus, dancing around in a banana suit is
always great fun.”
This money will go towards Carlé's prom, which will be on May 9.
Speaking about prom, prom dresses were donated to Carlé. These dresses are for any Carlé students who would like a dress for prom. So hurry and get up in there because the dresses are going fast.
Relay for Life will be on May 16. They are asking for donations and trying to get $1,000 before April 10, but donations will still be accepted until May 11. Checks can be made out to the American Cancer Society. This money goes towards the American Cancer Society. It's never to late to sign up. If you have any more questions you can contact Morganna Grantham here at Carlé High School.
We would like to congratulate Chantelle Clemons, who was the student of the week. She earned this award because of her hard work with community service and dedication to give out birthday cards to each and every student throughout our school. Keep up the wonderful work, Chantelle.
Ed Zander attended a Western Association of Schools and Colleges meeting in Sacramento on March 24. There they discussed and learned about the accreditation process for schools in California. Zander hopes to continue Carlé's tradition of getting another six-year term. This means will we not be checked again for another six years because we are considered in tip-top shape.
See you next week.
Amanda Tchamourian is a student at Carlé High School.
