KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – Although applications were shared with high school seniors all around the lake, it was two Kelseyville High School students that received vocational scholarships from Lakeport Women’s Civic Club at the June senior award ceremony.

The two $1,000 awards were presented by Helen Finch to Esgar Eguirre, who wishes attend Mendocino College to study administration of justice, and Israel Gonzalez, who is going to study diesel mechanics at Universal Technical Institute.

The Lakeport Women’s Civic Club is very proud of and gratified by their efforts to support and encourage students who wish to take up trades and vocational careers that are so vital to our communities.

The club wishes the two scholarship winners all the best.
