KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – Worldwide Healing Hands is honored to wish Kaleigh Nunn all the best as she begins a new chapter of her life at Butte College in Oroville.

Nunn is a 2018 graduate of Kelseyville High School and the fourth recipient of the John Paul Clarke Memorial Scholarship, awarded by Worldwide Healing Hands this month June.

Clarke’s parents, John Clarke and Dr. Paula Dhanda, as well as his sister, Jasmin Clarke, are largely responsible for creating the scholarship to honor his memory after he tragically passed in 2015.

“The scholarship is a celebration of the human potential for altruism, empathy and compassion,” said Dhanda.

It will be awarded to a Kelseyville High School senior each June to further their education, either in college or vocational school.

Clarke’s sister, Jasmin, alongside Worldwide Healing Hands, played an instrumental role in selecting Nunn, which she will continue to do in the future selections/nominations.

“This year’s recipient was chosen for her kindness toward others,” said Dhanda. “We wish Kaleigh the best in her new collegiate ventures. She is a very deserving young woman.”

In presenting this award, Jasmin Clarke quoted Mother Theresa saying, “Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.”

She added, “These words exemplify what this scholarship represents. Kindness and compassion towards others.”

Nunn has expressed extreme gratitude towards Worldwide Healing Hands and the family of John Paul Clarke for the unexpected financial aid and stated that she was surprised but honored to be
chosen.

Nunn showed dedication and kindness through various outlets in her time at Kelseyville High School, including KCorps,volleyball, softball and community service.
