SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Steve Wylie of Clearlake Park graduated with a Master of Arts in Communication from Missouri State University during the May 18, 2018 commencement exercises at JQH Arena.
Wylie was among 2,631 students who received degrees.
A total of 2,005 bachelor's degrees, 531 master's degrees, 91 doctorate degrees and four specialist degrees were conferred.
Beyond the standard expectations, the university recognized 112 students for their work with a more rigorous curriculum in Missouri State's Honors College.
Scholastic honors were also given to:
– 140 students who graduated summa cum laude (with grade point averages of 3.9-4.0 on a 4.0 scale);
– 175 students who graduated magna cum laude (with GPAs of 3.75-3.89);
– 156 students who graduated cum laude (with GPAs of 3.5-3.74).
