Many students are presenting their portfolios this month, being that they will be graduating very soon. David Ochoa and Amanda Long will both have their portfolio on May 5, and Ayla Hummingbird is having her portfolio on May 8. Larissa Spurling and Cody Oudeman are scheduled to have their portfolios on May 12.
On May 8 May both Carlé and Blue Heron will each have their Open House night. Blue Heron’s Open House will last from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m., and the Open House for Carlé will be from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
During Carlé High School’s Open House, Parents will be able to come see all of the things that students have accomplished. There will also be performances by our school’s talented musicians and drama club. Many of the performances that were shown at our Cabaret will be put on at the Open House.
Angie Siegel is teaching a special hazardous materials class for gold level students from May 12 through May 16. This is an intense weeklong course.
This week’s student of the week was Courtney Lawson. She was voted for by the staff because she does more than is required in everything she does. We would all like to congratulate her in receiving this award!
Prom is this upcoming weekend, and many students are preparing for an incredibly fun night. Prom Kings and Queens are being nominated, decorations being prepared, food being bought and music being picked. It is our last week to prepare for an absolutely wonderful prom, so the prom committee and the student government are both very busy. We are all certain the prom will be a huge success just like the Cabaret that funded it.
That is what is happening this week at Carlé; I hope you have a great week! Thanks for reading!
