CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Yuba College Clear Lake Campus will offer a real estate class beginning Monday, Jan. 12.

The class is being offered to fulfill an expressed need from Lake County Realtors.

“Principles of Real Estate, Real Estate 30” is one of three classes required to apply for a real estate license.

The course will be taught by Colleen Chatoff, a manager and broker who oversees 10 agents in two offices in Lake and Napa counties.

She has 14 years of experience in residential sales, resorts, REOs, short sales and new agent training.

“The current climate for new real estate agents is red hot,” said Chatoff. “With the evolution of our business including mobile capabilities there is no need to stay chained to a desk. Join us in embracing the new technology that is taking the real estate business to exciting new territories. If you are a self starter, type A personality, like working with the public, appreciate making your own hours, want to create and 'own your own' business, real estate may be for you.”

Chatoff encourages people to come and see what “all the fuss is about and why agents love their jobs.”

She added, “See how you can be part of a growing group of individuals and creative thinkers that have connected in this business. It’s a great opportunity to network with other people like you, looking for something other than a 9 to 5 job.”

People interested in pursuing a career in real estate may enroll in the class at www.clc.yccd.edu or call the college at 707-995-7900 for assistance with the enrollment process.
