Carlé Chronicle: State testing update and a heartfelt farewell

carleheader

Hello readers, and welcome to the Carlé Chronicle, your primary news source for all things Carlé.

Congratulations to student of the week Solaya Mota for her outstanding work ethics and writing prowess during testing.

We’re closing in on the end of our school year here at Carlé High School, with only three weeks left to go until summer vacation.

State testing for English and math took place last week. The testing lasted all throughout the week, and our students all worked hard and to the best of their abilities.

The new testing took place on computers, a far cry from the traditional pencil and paper tests of previous years.

“The test was long, but once you read everything you needed to you catch on really quick,” said student Kobi Mathias concerning the English testing.

We’d like to say farewell to Pat Howell, who will be retiring from Carlé at the end of this year.

Pat has been laser focused on helping students since the first day she got here. She is an Algebra expert and has helped countless students achieve their goals. We will all truly miss her.

Our thanks to the members of Lake Family Resource Center for all their continued support around here at Carlé.

Special thanks to Jacque Felber and Sherri Boelter for hosting the Be Fresh program alongside Carlé and its students, and Lisa Keller for her friendly and optimistic nature and overall help here at Carlé.

Charles Warren is a student at Carlé Continuation High School in Lower Lake, Calif.
