LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Childcare Provider’s Association serves as a networking, educational and collaborative opportunity for Lake County’s family child care providers.
The association meets once every other month, in different locations around Lake County to make it possible for all providers to participate in some way.
The association offers different topics of interest that may be helpful to providers such as: car seat safety updates, fire department demos on fire extinguishers, creative craft ideas, how to use Facebook to build your business, tours of family childcare homes and much more.
The next meeting will be on Monday, Nov. 26, at 7 p.m. at 1950 Parallel Drive in Lakeport.
Easter Seals will be demonstrating infant massage techniques and will share the Child Find program with family child care providers needing resources to support families with children who may be experiencing developmental delays.
They also will train providers on using the Ages & Stages questionnaires to plan activities to meet the needs of children in family child care programs. It is another tool providers can use to make sure children birth to 5 years are on track and ready to enter school.
