MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – Lake County International Charter School (LCICS) is kicking off its eighth year of operations with a Dance-a-Thon fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 20.

The Dance-a-Thon will take place from from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Middletown Lions Club, 15399 Central Park Road in Middletown.

Proceeds from the event will go towards health, fitness, and nutrition programs at LCICS such as their organic garden, compostable lunch plates, peaceful playground components and physical education equipment.

The dance-fitness marathon will include five hours of alternating Jazzercise and Zumba, as well as a sampling of Bellywood Bootcamp and Hot Cool Down.

A lineup of beloved, talented instructors from throughout Lake County are volunteering their time to promote awareness of the fun of dance fitness and the importance of exercise and healthy eating.

Complimentary nutritious finger foods and a first glass of wine, as well as shot-sized samples of fresh juices, smoothies and Kombucha are included in the price of each $15 ticket. Additional servings of wine, and healthy beverages will be available for purchase.

The Dance-a-Thon is an adult-focused event, but to encourage fitness and nutrition awareness amongst our youth 16 and up and young adults are also welcome. Wine only will be served to those 21 and over with a valid photo ID.

The event will also feature silent auctions, raffles and opportunities to win a grand prize as well as additional prizes for participation in all dance sessions.

Come for the whole evening or for part of it. Enjoy tasty, healthy foods and beverages and participate in a variety of dance-fitness methods. Dance and mingle with friends and community.
