LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Lake County Historical Society will award its annual $500 scholarship to a Lake County high school graduating senior bound for college or trade school.

The applicant must carry at least 12 units and have a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average.  

A 250 to 750 word essay relating to Lake County history is required. The extra curricular activities of the applicant also will be evaluated.

Applications must be received by April 20.

The application packets have been sent to the high schools. The group encourages eligible seniors to apply for this scholarship.
