On Nov. 28, Carlé's third grading period started. The third grading period feels like the shortest of the year thanks to the Christmas, or winter, break. At the end of this grading period Carlé will be half way thought its school year.

With that, Super Secretary Barbara Dye sent out the second grade period report cards. Carlé gives their thanks to Barbara Dye, the secretary, for all of her hard work on getting the grades together. Barbara came in two days on her days off for Thanksgiving to get it all done.

Carlé now has the list of gold level students for the second grading period. The students who made gold level are Leticia Bowman, Jade Fox, Jr. Garcia, Jesse Green, Shania Jones, Dakota Taylor, and Jonathan Warren.

The student who made silver level are Tucker Barnett, Desiree Bauer, Saffron Blue, Nathan Galindo, Christina Green, Colton Robone, Dallas Schell, Corissa Schoonderwoerd, Emily Thompson, Monique Throop, Jorge Vieira, Dennis Warner, Austin Weldon, Trevor Weldon, Erica Woods and Lindsey Yaquinto.

Last week's student of the week, or in this case, students of the week were Joey Griffith and Arturo Negrette. They are both such wonderful students that the staff couldn't choose between the two.

On Dec. 8 Nathan Galindo and Christina Green will have their portfolio showings. The Carlé News crew wishes best of luck to these future graduates!

With the new credit reports Carlé has recently started holding a mandatory seventh period class for students who need some credit help. The class will give students who have low credits and low attendance a chance to make up their grades.

Carlé's staff felt it was necessary to start this class because the last grading period's credits were not quite as high as they would have wanted. This class will be used for credit recovery and anyone may attend.

Christmas, or winter, break will begin on Dec. 16 and end on Jan. 4.

Students will be coming back on a Wednesday because Monday is a holiday and on Tuesday the staff will have a staff development in-service.
